The Auxilliaries, or A Division, is probably the most diversified on the Oklahoma City.  Primarily a service division, most of its time and manpower are centered around the provisions of "hotel services" on the command ship.   Enginemen, machinist mates and machinery repairmen struggle together to maintain installed air conditioning and heating systems.  Associated with these services, A Division also maintains all refrigeration equipment, scuttlebutts and laundry and galley equipment.
A well-equipped machine shop run by this division provides technical assistance and fabricates needed parts for myriad used throughout the ship.
An evaporator "gang" provides water to feed the boiler and quench the crew's thirst while at sea.
