of B Division is the operation and maintenance of the ship's four
"M" type boilers and associated fireroom machinery. The
steam produced is the power source for the Oklahoma City's 100,000
horsepower main propulsion plant, her four 750-kilowatt turbogenerators,
fresh water distilling plants, galley, laundry and all other steam driven
machinery. |
