FG Division is responsible for operation and maintenance of all gunnery weapons on board.  This includes the 6-inch/47 caliber turret, 5-inch/38 caliber mount, Mk. 37 director, main and secondary battery plotting rooms, 6-inch and 5-inch magazines and handling rooms and the ship's armory.
The gunner's mates (GMGs) of FG Division are basically responsible for the maintenance and operation of the 6-inch turret and 5-inch mount and magazines.  Additionally, they run the ship's armory and keep all small arms, such as M-1s, .50 caliber machineguns, Thompson submachineguns, BARs and shot-line guns.
The fire control technicians (FTGs) are responsible for the up-keep and operation of all gunfire control gear on board, which includes the Kk. 25 radar, 51 director and fire control computers.
